About Face of Independence Nigeria

Who We Are

Face of Independence Nigeria (FOI-NG) is a transformative national platform that empowers young Nigerian women, honors national heroes, and fosters generational change through cultural celebration and civic engagement.

Founded in 2010, FOI-NG has grown into a respected annual event that blends pageantry, national recognition, and community development. Each edition is more than a show—it’s a movement that strengthens Nigeria’s unity and highlights the strength of its people.

Our Dual Impact Model

FOI-NG operates through two major pillars:

FOI Beauty Pageant (FOI-BP)

A powerful platform that scouts, nurtures, and elevates young women from across Nigeria.

Our queens are bold, visionary leaders trained to become nation-builders, role models, and agents of social impact.

Independence Hero’s Award

A national honor bestowed on individuals and institutions that have contributed to Nigeria’s unity, progress, and development.

From technocrats to traditional rulers—true heroes are recognized and celebrated.

Our Mission

  • To empower future leaders through education, entrepreneurship, and mentorship.

  • To celebrate national pride, cultural unity, and collective growth.

  • To amplify the voices of young women in national discourse.

  • To preserve legacy while igniting youth innovation.

Our Vision

A united Nigeria led by inspired youth, where women thrive, and where national heroes—past and present—are remembered for shaping the country’s destiny.

Our 2025 Project – Flag Rebranding

As part of our national development commitment, FOI-NG 2025 will launch a flag rebranding and replacement initiative across all 36 states—symbolizing unity, rebirth, and national dignity
